UCLA College Greatest Needs

The College of Letters and Science is the heart of UCLA and undergraduate education, the learning laboratory that encourages and fosters students’ intellectual exploration.

Where Brainstorms Begin

UCLA College is the foundation of a student’s learning adventure. It’s where the humanities and the sciences meet and where studying the past informs and enlightens the future. In addition to its extensive mission to educate undergraduates, the College is home to more than 90 degree programs for graduate and doctoral students.

In the College, students expand their knowledge of the world, build intellectual agility, broaden perspectives, and hone critical thinking and creativity. Students seek supermassive black holes, examine the link between stress and disease, ponder the collapse of ancient civilizations and the ramifications for today, and much more. The College forms a base of knowledge and critical thinking that prepares well-rounded students for any challenge they may face.

While California is home to more than 72 percent of UCLA alumni, the College incubates the ideas that change our world with its commitment to developing the innovators of tomorrow.

The College Greatest Needs provides flexible support for the people who need it most. Your support will help us provide scholarships for the best students to thrive at UCLA.
